About Me
As someone who has grown from my own personal adversity and experiences of inequity, I am passionate about clients embracing their true selves and living life aligned with their true identity and values.
I am a first generation immigrant from Malaysia having settled to Canada at the age of three, and have lived experience with interracial relationships and parenting. I am also an advocate for loved ones with ADHD. Not just a therapist, I’m a trail runner, amateur gardener and lover of dogs and travel!
In addition to counselling, I have 18 years of meaningful frontline experience supporting adults, children, youth and families impacted by conflict, trauma, violence and sexual assault. It is through this work that I have a lived understanding of not just the unique occupational stressors of helping professionals and first responders, but also how the intersection of gender and race influences those experiences.
Formal Education & Registration
I have a BA from Simon Fraser University and MA in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
I am licensed as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
